Bargains for Brains is a charity preloved fashion sale raising money for Glioblastoma Brain Cancer Research inspired by our friend Jenny George.

Jenny was a much loved mother of four, wife, sister, lawyer, environmentalist and active member of the Northbridge and wider Sydney community.

In May 2023 Jenny was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive and incurable brain cancer. She vowed to make a difference raising funds for vital immunotherapy research led by Professor Richard Scolyer determined to help others with her illness. Jenny died in May 2024, just one year after diagnosis.

This event honours Jenny’s memory by raising funds for Cure Cancer Australia in a way she would have loved, bringing people together, reducing waste and giving clothes a new life.
